"Drop Dead." "That's Not Funny."
Enron founder Ken Lay died this morning. Condolences to his friends and family.
No, I'm not a fan of what Mr. Lay did. Not in any way. But, on several other liberal/progressive blogs, I'm already seeing lots of Good Riddance. Snark, wishes that he rot in hell, jokes. Bluntly, all the stuff the right side of the blogosphere accuses us of.
You won't see that here.
A man died.
And it's a sad end to an incredibly awful situation.
I really don't have more to say about it than that.

I don't think that they are that far out of line... the 'awful situation' is that thousands of average americans lost their whole financial future overnight because of that heartless greedy bastard. Though his family and progeny will be WELL taken care of for the rest of their lives (read wealthy), many people will be living in poverty for the rest of their lives. I am not one to spit on someones' grave, but I will not allow for others to talk about the good things he did or adversity he overcame without casting it in the light of his ultimate and evil failure.
