STOP
TERROR
STOP
TORTURE
OUT
OF IRAQ

"Chicolini here may talk like an idiot, and look like an idiot, but don't let that fool you: he really is an idiot."
Ready for bald-faced desperation? A number of Republican pundits are defending Bush's domestic spying because Carter and Clinton did it.
Coulda sworn they hated both those guys.
Oh, and -- as usual, they're wrong. Think Progress has the smackdown. Daily Kos has more.
Impeach. Impeach. Impeach. Impeach.

Just a quick question for all the geniuses ... "How do you interrogate a terrorists who is not afraid of death?"
I love the Stop Terror, Stop Torture line ... I guess we just need you kind folks to tell terrorists "they're bad, mmm-kay".
An awful lot of links on this blog and very little substance. Though I am all for impeaching Bush and Cheney.

Well, if he's not afraid of death, he's probably not going to be afraid of pain, either. As has been demonstrated time and again, torturing tends to get the tortured to say what the torturer wants to hear.
The "line", as you put it, is very simple for a reason: THE U.S. IS IN THE WRONG, AND MUCH OF THE TERROR BEING COMMITTED IS BY US. At least 30,000 dead that Bush has admitted to. Abu Ghraib. Guantanamo. Terror Alerts, politically timed to distract the American people from embarassing reports about the government.
Nobody in this administration has ever, ever bothered to ask the one big question: motive. It's considered treasonous to want to know why the terrorists want to attack us. I, like pretty much everybody else on the Left, was all for going after Osama bin Laden. Pity we stopped before we caught him and went to Iraq instead. I don't want to find out why the terrorists do what they do because I sympathize with them in any way; I want to find out why they do what they do so we can stop them both in the short term and the long term.
The "lack of substance" of which you speak has been in fact a lack of blogging, as I spent most of October and November appearing for music dates and finishing work on an album. I very deliberately avoided political blogging, for the simple fact that it would've eaten my days and nights. You'll find a little bit more in the archives. I also have a LiveJournal. That said, don't take this the wrong way, but... it's, ah, not your problem. If you don't like, please don't read. I promise not to think worse of you.

I agree, too. I could have sworn they hated...hell, still hate, Carter and Clinton!
